Happy Birthday Millie!

January Clubs Projects and Happy Birthday to a great stampin' gal: Millie

At our Friday Night Stampin Club yesterday, we celebrated Millie's Birthday! I have gone away to a scrapbook weekend crop with Millie and Barb for the past 3 years but this year we chose not to travel down to Delaware. So it is strange not to celebrate on Millie's birthday, but we sang to her and made her wear the "Birthday Princess" tiara.

We get a little silly on Friday nights, but we all have a good time. This group of 6 gals has been stamping with me since I started and have been in a club together for at least 4 year now! So we are all kinda sisters or should I say, sistas.

Here's what we made: A Valentine/ Birthday sweet treats gumball card, a Valentine's scrapbook page and a Sizzix Movers and Shakers Valentine card.

My New Card Tree

I just got my new card tree for displaying my projects (and Christmas cards). It's really easy to put together and simple to change the cards out. I'm keeping it out on my cocktail table as a display and creative starter.

Vintage Vogue Large Poem Card

What an elegant stamp set for that extra special card!

I made a large card (one sheet of card stock folded in half) for my friend , Lucille, to give to her dear family friend Doris. Doris is turning 80 years young and Lucille created a wonderful poem for her. Instead of framing it, Lucille wanted it in a card. I immediately thought of the Vintage Vogue Stamp set from the Occasions Mini catalog. The colors come from Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper (Old Olive, Pale Plum and Rich Razzelberry). The new old olive satin ribbon is gorgeous. You may not be able to see it in the photo, but I added Dazzling Diamonds, a rhinestone and a few half back pearls (Pretties Kit). Here is the inside with the poem! I also decorated the envelope. Lucille loved it:)

Demo Shoe Box Swaps

A few New Jersey Demos got together on Monday night to participate in a shoe box swap. Here are some things that we made and shared with each other. I had a great time! I hope we can get together again! There are so many talented women out there!

THis was Maryann's card! Lots of heart and sparkle!

Brenda brought us this lovely card!

Joan designed this delicate and gorgeous all occasion card.

This is Marisol's card. SOOO sweet and pretty!

Donna had us make a pepermint patty treat bag with "Love Bandit"

Maryann shared this pretty Valentine with us.

Erika designed and taught us how to make this special heart pouch.

I still need to photograph a few more. So I'll be uploading more later! I hope they have inspired you!.. Questions on how to make them? Contact me and I will be glad to answer your questions! Book a workshop and you and your friends can make a few of these just in time for Valentine's Day!

Sympathy Cards

These cards are beautiful and thoughtful for those terrible times in our lives.

This week I have had to send out a couple of these for friends who have just lost their dads and grandfathers.

The stamp set is "Thoughts and Prayers" . It's great for sympathy and get well wishes, but can also be used for elegant birthday, anniversary and thank you cards too. I have used it on scrap book pages too.

Totally Tess

I love this stamp set "Totally Tess" in clear mount stamps!
It is so easy to line things up and mask or over stamp the images. I used paper piecing for her pants and the card. It makes for a very quick and easy fun card! The DSP is from the hostess pack of paper Level 1 in the main Idea Book and Catalog. I used Pretty in Pink and Creamy Caramel markers to color her hair, shirt and tote. Her skin is done in Blush Blossom.

I'll be sending this card out to a good friend for her birthday later this month. I like to add a post-it note inside instead of writing on the card so that the receiver can re-use her card. It's like getting 2 gifts in one!

Vintage Vogue Thank You Notes

I made up these thank you notes using the new clear mounted stamps in Vintage Vogue.
It was so fast and easy to use. They clung to the acrylic blocks so easily. Cleaning up was not a hassle either. Make sure your blocks are clean and grease/oil free. It was much easier to line things up. The colors I used were Rich Razzelberry, So Saffron and Old Olive. I used Stampin' Up's small notes that come in a set of pre-scored note cards and matching envelopes.
I'll be sending these thank you's out tomorrow to some very special friends of mine! I hope they like them!

Ocean Commotion- soon to retire!

I love Ocean Commotion and am sad to see it retire. I will be hanging onto this set though because I live in New Jersey and the shore (beach) is less than an hour away. So I collect everything beach-y!

This card flips apart to reveal a hidden inside. It is great for hiding money for a birthday gift. If you attend one of my classes or hold a workshop of your own, I will show you how to make this card- it is so easy and so versatile!
